Garlic Chutney also known as Lahsun Ki Chutney is popularly used in Chaats, like Vada Pav, Chillas etc. Lahsun Ki Chutney recipe is also a staple among the villages of Rajasthan and Gujarat where they have it along with bhajra ka rotla. The pungent aroma along with the lemon and chillies brings out the flavor of this chutney.
Garlic is packed with antioxidants and is very good for our health. Garlic has antibacterial and anti fungal properties. It help to lower cholesterol. Garlic thins the blood which can help in preventing heart diseases and stokes.The National Cancer Institute, part of the National Institutes of Health, does not recommend any dietary supplement for the prevention of cancer, but recognizes garlic as one of several vegetables with potential anticancer properties.

Ingredients

1/2 cup about 15 to 20 cloves of garlic, peeled

1 1/2 teaspoons chilli powder

1 teaspoon of roasted cumin powder

juice from one lemon

salt to taste

Directions

To make the Garic Chutney recipe, combine all the ingredients in a blender with just a little water to grind into a smooth paste.

Store the Lahsun ki Chutney | Spicy Garlic Chutney a glass jar and serve as desired.

You can also add a little water before serving to make the Lahsun ki Chutney have a little saucy consistency. Store refrigerated for about two weeks.
